Well the Seahawks lost.
They were within 5-10 yards, one decent play, of beating the overrated Chicago Bears two seperate times in the last 2 mintues of regulation, and couldn't deliver a knockout blow. They let Chicago hang around and finally surrendered in overtime on a 49 yard field goal. Watching it you couldn't help but think that it should have been Josh Brown stepping up to win it for the Hawks.
Dissapointing season, and yet also impressive considering what they overcame. Injuries, more injurys, signing guys off the street, those guys getting injured.
Postitives: Swept the hated Rams, won a road game in Denver, started out 3-0, won the division for a third straight year, won a playoff game for the second straight year, picked up some great new talent (Julian Petersen, Kelly Jennings, Rob Sims, Ryan Plackmier)
Negatives: Lost very winnable games at Arizona and home to 49ers, Hasselbeck played unusually bad at times, Alexander still only tries when he thinks he'll get a touchdown, continued the everlasting trend of playing up or down to the level of opponents, couldn't finish games well down the stretch against top tier teams (San Diego, Chicago, New York Giants)
Overall, I'm proud of them. They should be good again next year, I don't think their window for winning the Super Bowl has yet closed. They need to resign some guys and STAY healthy. But it definately tough to have to say it again.
Wait 'til next year.

Here's a nice article by one of my favorite people ever, Ann Coulter. There is NOTHING wrong with ANYTHING she says here. Enjoy.
HISTORIC VICTORY FOR DIEBOLD! by Ann Coulter November 8, 2006
History was made this week! For the first time in four election cycles, Democrats are not attacking the Diebold Corp. the day after the election, accusing it of rigging its voting machines. I guess Diebold has finally been vindicated.
So the left won the House and also Nicaragua. They've had a good week. At least they don't have their finger on the atom bomb yet.
Democrats support surrender in Iraq, higher taxes and the impeachment of President Bush. They just won an election by pretending to be against all three.
Jon Tester, Bob Casey Jr., Heath Shuler, possibly Jim Webb — I've never seen so much raw testosterone in my life. The smell of sweaty jockstraps from the "new Democrats" is overwhelming.
Having predicted this paltry Democrat win, my next prediction is how long it will take all these new "gun totin' Democrats" to be fitted for leotards.
Now that they've won their elections and don't have to deal with the hicks anymore, Tester can cut lose the infernal buzz cut, Casey can start taking "Emily's List" money, and Webb can go back to writing more incestuously homoerotic fiction ... and just in time for Christmas!
But according to the media, this week's election results are a mandate for pulling out of Iraq (except in Connecticut where pro-war Joe Lieberman walloped anti-war "Ned the Red" Lamont).
In fact, if the Democrats' pathetic gains in a sixth-year election are a statement about the war in Iraq, Americans must love the war! As Roll Call put it back when Clinton was president: "Simply put, the party controlling the White House nearly always loses House seats in midterm elections" — especially in the sixth year.
In Franklin D. Roosevelt's sixth year in 1938, Democrats lost 71 seats in the House and six in the Senate.
In Dwight Eisenhower's sixth year in 1958, Republicans lost 47 House seats, 13 in the Senate.
In John F. Kennedy/Lyndon Johnson's sixth year, Democrats lost 47 seats in the House and three in the Senate.
In Richard Nixon/Gerald Ford's sixth year in office in 1974, Republicans lost 43 House seats and three Senate seats.
Even America's greatest president, Ronald Reagan, lost five House seats and eight Senate seats in his sixth year in office.
But in the middle of what the media tell us is a massively unpopular war, the Democrats picked up about 30 House seats and five to six Senate seats in a sixth-year election, with lots of seats still too close to call. Only for half-brights with absolutely no concept of yesterday is this a "tsunami" — as MSNBC calls it — rather than the death throes of a dying party.
During eight years of Clinton — the man Democrats tell us was the greatest campaigner ever, a political genius, a heartthrob, Elvis! — Republicans picked up a total of 49 House seats and nine Senate seats in two midterm elections. Also, when Clinton won the presidency in 1992, his party actually lost 10 seats in the House — only the second time in the 20th century that a party won the White House but lost seats in the House.
Meanwhile, the Democrats' epic victory this week, about which songs will be sung for generations, means that in two midterm elections Democrats were only able to pick up about 30 seats in the House and four seats in the Senate — and that's assuming they pick up every seat that is currently too close to call. (The Democrats' total gain is less than this week's gain because Bush won six House and two Senate seats in the first midterm election.)
So however you cut it, this midterm proves that the Iraq war is at least more popular than Bill Clinton was.
In a choice between Republicans' "Stay until we win" Iraq policy or the Democrats' "Stay, leave ... stay for a while then leave ... redeploy and then come back ... leave and stay ... cut and run ... win, lose or draw policy," I guess Americans prefer the Republican policy.
The Democrats say we need a "new direction" in Iraq. Yeah, it's called "reverse." Democrats keep talking about a new military strategy in Iraq. How exactly is cut-and-run a new strategy? The French have been doing it for years. The Democrats are calling their new plan for Iraq "Operation Somalia."
The Democrats certainly have their work cut out for them. They have only two years to release as many terrorists as possible and lock up as many Republicans as they can. Republicans better get that body armor for the troops the Democrats are always carping about — and fast. The troops are going to need it for their backs.

My favorite part is how she actually uses the phrase "cut and run," Stephen Colberts favorite thing to make fun of conservatives for over using. And how does this election prove people prefer the republican policy again?
Ann Coulter is too clueless to even make fun of properly.

Two years ago I wrote an entry consisting mainly of quotes.
Quotes of people who were angry, and upset, and outraged.
Our country had just re-elected George W. Bush and it seemed our country didn't know what the hell it was doing anymore.
I went through my friends page and compiled a quote from every person that was upset. It took up pages and pages.
It's been two years. And finally, FINALLY, we have good news.
It took all the corruption, scandals, lies and blunders the Republicans could muster. It took them failing in Iraq and at home with Hurrican Katrina. It took them trying to take away our freedoms to make our own decisions. It took them doing everything they could to keep their power. They even rewrote the maps in the U.S. to favor their re-elections.
But no more. It took too much to make it happen, but it did.
We won.
We still have Bush, but we no longer have that walking scandal Tom Delay. We no longer have a Republican majority in the House of Representatives. We might no longer have a Republican majority in the Senate, the way things are looking.
And this morning, perhaps the most smile-inducing news of all: Donald Rumsfeld. Is. Gone.
I just don't know how today could get much better!

Our former-former singer, the infamous Austin Held, sent us more crap on Myspace today. This is about the 4th time. He does it every few months or so.
He still won't stop giving us shit since we re-recorded a whole 3 songs for our album. We changed a lot of stuff on those songs (most of which I am still getting mixed responses for), but he still he wrote most of the lyrics to those 3 songs. He apparently thinks that all of our fans would accept us using the same music but completely rewriting the songs around it, so that they never hear the songs they like again. Which is a lot of the problem with him, he never cared about the music or the fans, he cared about getting rich and famous and being a star and having sex with groupies.
He always threatens to sue us and what not, somehow missing that fact that not only did we give him credit on the cd for what he wrote, but he SIGNED A CONTRACT while still in the band stating that whatever he put into A Chance Without stays with A Chance Without. That basically means, he's SOL, what we have done is completely legal, and we can use the songs because they belong to the band, we wrote all of the music and parts of the lyrics anyway. But no, he can't ever drop it, his sorry little life isn't busy enough to stop him from sending us hate mail on Myspace talking about how we are "so origonal" for using songs that we had to record twice now, and spent over $2500 out of our own pockets doing.
What a fucking loser.

| Story time! |
[28 Aug 2006|04:59am] |
First of all.
Our cd will be officially released on September 29th. You can get it from me or at our cd release show that day at the Redmond Firehouse. We are playing with Lucky For Nothing, Endeavor, and Temperedcast. It will be sweet.
Second of all. For this story you need a little background. There is a dude named Frank who used to be in A Chance Without. He left the band and I eventually became his replacement on bass. As you know I've since switched to vocals but yeah. When he left he joined this band called On The Last Day. We've played with them many times before, they are nice enough I suppose. Never treated me bad or anything, so that's cool. But I've never liked the fact that they dress in all black, with died black emo hair, black eyeliner, black finger nail polish, and what have you. It's disgusting because it puts the focus on everything BUT the music. Which maybe is because they are worried people will realize they sound just like Aiden. But I digress.
They followed in the footsteps of Aiden in getting signed to Victory Records (the shining label most recently known for telling people to hide copies of Ne-Yo's cd in record stores so that Hawthorne Heights would sell more copies) and just put out their debut full length. Which, in true Victory Records fashion, led to them changing their sound to fit the Aiden genre even more to a T than they already did. Whether you like that or not is fine, that's not my point.
So tonight I came across a Myspace bulletin chain complaing about the fact that AP magazine said they were like every other trendy makeup band and telling people to send the magazine hate mail. Here it is:
So, AP did a bogus review about On The Last Day's new album. Stereotyping them and a bunch of bullshit. And to be perfectly honest, we thought they deserved more credit for an album well done.
So, here's a copy of the review, and if you liked the album please hate mail AP. We're trying to get as many people as possible.
And here's the AP review:
ON THE LAST DAY [2] Album: Meaning In The Static (Victory; victoryrecords.com) Who? Seattle residents (and new Victory Records signees) with their debut full-length. Sounds like? Every band with jet black hair and matching eyeliner currently touring America's dive bars. Sing, scream, repeat. How is it? If you're into the bands below, you'll probably be into this. Rocks like: Aiden, I am Ghost, Escape The Fate.
Here's a promo photo of the band that was sent out with their cd:

So you cool people that actually read this will get a little peice of info.
We had to cancel our planned cd release on September 1st because of two reasons.
one. the album certainly will not be in our hands.
two. Chris Curry can't play it anyways.
so there! haha.
It will most likely be released on September 23rd at KTUB. I'll keep you posted.
PS the album is sounding better every day!
